Getting started

After installing Intent, allow calendar access when prompted. Your events will appear in the timeline. Tap any meeting to set your intent, add questions, and see the AI coach's take. After the meeting, rate it and capture follow-ups. The more you use it, the better your recurring meeting insights become.

Frequently asked questions

How do I connect my calendar?

Intent uses Apple's built-in calendar access. When you first open the app, you'll be asked to allow calendar access. Grant access to the calendars you use for work (e.g. Google Calendar via CalDAV, Outlook, or Apple Calendar). Your events then appear in Intent's timeline.

Where is my prep data stored?

All your prep notes, intents, questions, and ratings are stored only on your device using Apple's SwiftData. Nothing is sent to the cloud. If you use iCloud backup, your iOS backup may include this data—that's controlled by your system settings, not by Intent.

What is the AI coach and does it use the internet?

The AI coach is powered by Apple Intelligence and runs entirely on your iPhone or iPad. It analyzes your meeting (attendees, agenda, your prep status) and gives you a direct take on whether it's worth your time. No data leaves your device.

How do prep templates work for recurring meetings?

For meetings that repeat (e.g. weekly 1:1s), you can save a prep template. The next time that meeting appears, you can carry forward last time's intent and questions so you don't start from scratch.

Can I use Intent on iPad?

Yes. Intent has full iPad support: split view, keyboard shortcuts, and trackpad hover. Your data syncs via the same Apple ID if you use iCloud.
